Summertime CD 1: Hugh Masekela presents The Chisa Years

Posted about 5 years ago
In the never ending search for fresh sounds to assist in the navigation of my life, I turn to Hugh Masekela.
The South African trumpeteer/fugelhorn player and jazz great brings afrobeat from the past into my present.
Produced by Masekela, The Chisa Years (1965-1975) Rare and Unreleased is a gem. Not even a diamond in the rough, but one that shines in its natural form, without the aid of the grinder (present day production techniques) to bring forth its luminescence.

Here's a little sample from the album, Witch Doctor .
