Quite randomly I happened to hear about this show last nite.
Progressive rock has never sounded so good. "Green Milk From The Planet Orange":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo (GMFTPO) is a three member rock group out of Tokyo, Japan.
Dead K, A, and T deliver on the Gibson SG, Drums and Korg MS2000, and Fender Jazz Bass, respectively. Working together since 2001, "GMFTPO":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo is touring the US along with their newest album, City Calls Revolution.

So, about the show. Well, like said I happened upon this one. The hosting venue was a small restaurant and showhouse specializing in independent acts, and is really very cozy.
Opening for "GMFTPO":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo was a local ambient, experimental collective. Then came the most ridiculous hour and a half of sound induced splendor. "GMFTPO":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo opened up with the 40 minute long track, A Day In The Planet Orange. Yes, 40 minutes long, truly improvised, pumped through the sound system with powerful samples to enhance the beginning and end of this incredible, developing, morphing dirge dedicated to the fall of all other Indie Progressive Rockers.

Green Milk does not **Ck around. They followed with Concrete City Breakdown, the opening track from their latest EP, once more highly improvised. "GMFTPO":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo removed nearly all vocals from the recorded tracks for this performance, allowing the audience to savor the glory of progressive indie rock jamming that is rarely encountered, most unfortunately.
If you happen to be close to any of their upcoming shows, I suggest you check them out. Oh yeah, and they perform sitting down.

Check the "link":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo for tour dates and locations. "GMFTPO":http://www.myspace.com/gmftpo is headed to Philly tonite and then pass through some more East Coast cities, check out the Mid West, and then come back around through to a few spots on the West Coast. So most all of you have a chance to see them, DO NOT let it pass you by.
This group is best appreciated LIVE (as are most real music groups), if you happened to catch them at SXSW this year, I'm sure you agree.
