The upcoming Stephen Marley album, Mind Control is now available for a pre-sale listening via myspace.Eleven featured tracks can be heard "here":http://www.myspace.com/stephenmarley Mos Def, Mr. Cheeks, Spragga Benz, Ben Harper, Maya Azucena, Illestr8, and of course brother Damian make guest appearances on this third release from Ghetto Youth International Co-Founder Stephen.Initial buzz for the album came through the single "Traffic Jam" ft. Damian Marley. The vocals are laid down over a lovely beatboxed riddim and tells us that the only cuff natty wears is diamond cuff--this line amongst others tauting materialism and the fame achieved by the Marleys initially turned me completely off to the album. Its a great thing seems that the remaining 10 tracks on this album are deeper in both topic and message. A few loving tracks find their way onto the album, including the next single, Hey Baby, featuring Mos Def. Mos rips it as usual, reminding me of his vibe on Leavin on A Jet Plane.The title track, Mind Control, is a concious chune and refers to those damn they who never seem to leave us be. The remaining album tracks you should discover for yourself.Official Release Date: March 20, 2007.
