Most undeservedly underappreciated band I know of

Give a listen to Sky Cries Mary, in spite of the goofy name (which is meant to be a heart-felt tribute to a Jimi Hendrix tune). Specifically, listen to the album "This Timeless Turning". These guys blew me away when I happened to catch their act in the Seattle area 10+ years ago. Totally unexpected; had never heard of them before the concert. Their music is a treasure unknown to most people, and they deserve way more recognition than they've gotten. This is truly good and wonderous psychodelic music, the kind that reverberates with one's pure and unadulterated inner being, the kind that makes tripping a drug-optional experience (as exemplified by It's a Beautiful Day, an underservedly underappreciated band from the late 60's). I had thought that such music was long dead and gone and impossible to recreate in this day and age, but then along came Sky Cries Mary!
