Last night I was up all night putting new cds onto my itunes. Most of the them were definitely metal. Now that I'm getting the chance to listen to all of them, I'm definitely in a metal mood.
Everything from Slayer to Strapping Young Lad(greatest band name ever?), to Fear Factory, Children of Bodom, and Devildriver. Even the greatness that is Black Label Society, THE Bruce Dickinson, and about 9 cds of Motorhead. I added a bunch more then that, but it would take a while to type them all out. I'm definitely gonna be rocking out for a while.
Anyways, here's one of my favorites that I got.

While it's a fantastic song, Tom Sawyer has been stuck in my head for I think almost a month now. It's like all of my empty thoughts are quickly replaced by the addicting tunes of Rush. So I'm hoping that if I make this post somehow it will get it out of my head...

tell that song your "mind is not for rent"....maybe it will move along....
Wow, that is amazing Lyrikhan...I actually think it worked too lol. It hasn't really been in my head so far, crossing my fingers it stays that way.
Yesterday I returned to Austin's airport from Las Vegas, after taking a trip for the weekend to see my dad. Todd and I decided that we had to make a trip...to go see SRV's statue.
It probably took us about two hours to actually find it, because for some reason Austin decided that they wanted to hide this holy shrine. Eventually we found it though, and it was well worth the wait. Even being very dark, it was amazing to stand in it's greatness.
I just had to post that...I'm still really excited about it.

Strapping Young Lad is definitely the greatest band name ever.
And DevilDriver comes damned close to earning their name.
However, I can never again hear this approach to singing without thinking of a fellow Mogger's label "Cookie Monster vocals".
Thrashing; everyone needs to spend time in a 'metal mood'. You are feeding the iTune some great bands. Cheers!
