Off on the right Foot with Hello Hurricane

Switchfoot's one of those bands that's gonna get the pub one way or another. Radio hot for years, the band returns in a couple of weeks with Hello Hurricane (due Nov. 10) on Atlantic Records.

Coinciding with the release, the band has already amped up the publicity wagon by kicking off a tour on Nov. 8 in San Diego at the 94.9 Anniversary Bash (more dates below). Later in the week, they'll play the outside stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live (Nov. 12).

As for the tour, the band has said they will be playing the new album "in its entirety followed by fan favorites from its previous records." They're also collecting donations for local food banks at all stops on the tour.

And finally, Switchfoot will play the Yahoo Music live concert program, Maximum Performance Guitar Hero 5, Jon and Chad will appear on an coming episode of "Road Trip Nation" on PBS; MySpace will debut the album stream a week before its release and the band will be interviewed on The MySpace Music Feed on Monday, Nov. 9; not to mention being the subject of an "In the Studio feature for Rolling Stone plus pieces in Relevant Magazine (Nov/Dec cover story), Alternative Press (Nov charity story) and The Huffington Post (about Jon's heroism).
