WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Review - Ace Frehley's Anomaly

Posted 3 months ago

There are two basic types of musicians. One, the musician who excels no matter where he is or who he's playing with. The other, tends to play significantly better in a certain setting whether it's by himself or with the band that got him started (for an example, see Chris Cornell).

Which brings us to Ace Frehley. Sure his name is familiar, though not as well-known as band-mate Gene Simmons, Frehley is fairly widely known as a driving force behind 70s rockers KISS. This month, Frehley is dropping a new solo album, his first in 20 years.
Anomaly (according to Merriam-Webster) is 2: deviation from the common rule or 3: something anomalous; something different, abnormal, peculiar, or not easily classified.
Anomaly is also the name of Frehley's new album. That's where the comparison to Webster's official definition ends.
