Earlier this week, Sharon Shy of The Ropes took a few minutes to talk with me about The Ropes and their new EP, Be My Gun.
Sonic Dissonance: With "What They Do For Fun," just coming out last year, why did you decide to follow it up with an EP so quickly?
Sharon Shy: We aren't stuck to a release schedule or a product cycle. These are songs that we felt strongly about and we wanted to release this material before our next tour.
SD: Music Juggernaut ABC News put the album in their top 50 for 2008. Did you know ABC knew anything about music?
SS: No, but I was very impressed by their acumen.
SD: Seriously though, #15, in front of the Stills and REM, big shock?
