You can't tell me Hold Steady singer Craig Finn doesn't like his "job." Being witness to hundreds of concerts over the past 15 years (or so), I've seen very few performers who had the passion for the show and the smile on his face to prove it.
Finn and Hold Steady were the perfect fit for a mid-spring night in Omaha Wednesday. The weather finally broke from the cold and the Hold Steady helped bring the party.
Behind the ever-smiling Finn, the Hold Steady delivered 90 minutes of raise-your-beer and sing-along anthems to a packed house at Omaha's Slowdown. With near flawless execution from the band, the Hold Steady rumbled through pretty well all the hits....

I would say he loves his job, even more than I ever imagined. I found myself comparing him to a preacher in the review article I wrote, I couldn't think of any other job description that fit quite so perfectly.
