I'm a Sexy Sunday Virgin no more...Hold it, get your mind out of the gutter... my brain's to big it needs all the space.I digress. I just got through playing the Sexy Sunday Showcase at Peri's Bar in Fairfax.It's an invite only showcase for local female musicians... and man let me tell you the talent was out tonight.There was blues, rock, country, beat, and Chinese (okay so I didn't sing in CHinese, but I am...)Not only was the talent pool deep -- but the ladies were sweethearts.There was no attitude, well negative "I'm gonna bitch slap you ho" 'tude. The environment was all about encouraging each other. Laughing. Relaxing. and Letting the music flow....I found myself up on stage tonight all prepared to do my usual acoustic set, when I hear someone step behind the congas, sit at the keys, sling a bass, and cop a squat at the trap kit... wow. It was magical. We were all in the zone. Then later in the night, I got to sit behind the kit... so excited.
