'I feel so cold on hookers and gin'

Posted over 5 years ago
Portishead's self-titled album has enraptured me like few others since I got into it a couple years ago (yes, I was quite the latecomer on that one). I see a lot of people online who prefer "Dummy" to the self-titled album, and while I think "Dummy" is an admirable debut, "Portishead," to me, is a masterpiece of dark, moody music. I can't think of a more quintessential trip-hop album.I can't put into words how much I'm anticipating the band's next album. There's no telling what it'll sound like, but I have faith they'll deliver something interesting.www.portishead.co.ukwww.myspace.com/portisheadalbum3

  1. Anna says Dummy is my fav P album. I'm really looking forward to their new one. Have you heard Orton in "this":http://mog.com/Anna/blog_post/17313#write-comment btw? Her voice sounds so different.

  2. autohypnosis says Are you maybe confusing Beth Orton with Beth Gibbons? Beth Gibbons is the singer in Portishead.
