(Somewhere below is the "Deep Sea Diver" music vid which I feel like I've been pimping but I like to watch the move-drawings. Many times I've viewed this, already. It's cute-ish? and blue.)I think I need to append my format for MOG.I'm used to writing these lengthy analysis' of the things on my mind and in the meantime intertwining music to fit in with whatever scenario I'm trying to portray. i.e. Natalie Portman's plastic nose. new food. finding bugs in my bed.But maybe I'll take that out and instead sort of just...generalize, figure out how music may apply to whoever passes by here, reviews and specific descriptions and all that.

I know music afficianados are supposed to be all into history and making lists['Quick, rattle off the top doo wop revival singles of the recent millenium.' or'Mix for songs in 7/4']and sometimes, that's cool. But I'm more about...well, I guess emotional enjoyment/appreciation and how it soundtracks your everyday liferather than the technicalities. And that's whatever also, because if you're passionate about something, the learnage comes natural. And I mean, history certainly matters, especially when you're attempting to champion a band that may or may not have initiated a trend. Especially with that "original" tag. origin. al. orig-IN-al.The first person to bang a stick on a rock and deem it 'rhythm.'Eh-nee-how.Where was I.Right. Still experimenting with this Mog thing. I think if I have more than one artist to discuss, I'll just make several separate posts instead of one long 'what is she talking about'. Organization. So. Hopefully this is the last 'way too many words' post. (Lie.) I wrote about this song elsewhere, but I'll purge about it here too, because a) I'm pretty sure 98 percent of the audience is differentand b) it's been stuck in my head for a few days _still_, and if we're speaking about soundtracking life, here, this is one song that's been backing my 'walk-to-work's.This is the song that has been prompting repeated sing-alongs of the chorus, out loud in my room alone and sometimes in the company of others. This is the song of the moment.c) and maybe it's good to add to the mog-log, connective sentiments and all that.
Deep Sea Diver Music video.First, I was addicted to "Deep Sea Diver."Then, after too many repeated listens, I moved past to "Don't Ask," which was also the nice and quiet hum forward. Then, I kept listening, and most of the songs continued to feed me good dreams.I found the whole CD of
Horn of Plenty to be (inevitably) really...serene. I could probably find more words to specifically describe the CD, but I'm a little burnt out from the so much work and spending time on the computer. But it was perfect for a drifting off too. Like,I was leaning on a patch of seaweed in the ocean deep and everytime I took a breath, the bubbles of air would simmer out and up to the reach the surface of the sea above me. Okay well, actually maybe the scene wasn't as watery as that 'I still can't decide if I like them (or not)' Canadian band (The Most Serene Republic) whose most recent CD is full underwater snooze, total blue sea and manta rays gliding by. But
HoP was, at the least, like, a sway in the lake. or something. Myeah.

These days (literally, past few days), I think I'm into CDs that let me sleep. Though, I usually don't fully snooze to music. Actually, its more disruptive, because I always end up taking the headphones out right before I'm out cold so I can get some real rest (because otherwise my mind just latches on to the composition and wants to like eat it and fully enjoy the instrumentals surrounding me...I guess I'm much more needing to be aware of things around me.Anyway.)Or in the middle it wakes me up and I want to listen but I know I have to get up for work in 3 hours. But I repeat this patter because damnit. There is too much good music and so many hours in the day.And I know
Yellow House is floating around, but I still haven't had time to listen to this. And I want hear the HoP remix CD. Okay. wtf. how did my word count grow. I need like...diet mog."Diet MOG:The box only lets you type so muchso the music perusers will have the time to something clever about mp3 blogs."
