THE MUSIC BLOGGING HIVE MIND

another favorite band from the 80's... fav. album too...

Posted over 2 years ago
I wore the shit out of this album. I miss albums. Bigass covers. Artwork. Big piece of vinyl stamped into a huge disc. "be careful with that!!" Shit.I say we ditch cd's and go back to vinyl. That shit rocked.rock opera type album from an awesome heavy rock band. Cool song. Probably a big reason why I have holes in my eardrums:People used to bag on Goeff Tate for being too operatic. I loved that shit.

  1. Lilithk says Sad, I live in Seattle but the only Queensryche I've ever heard is Jet City Woman and Silent Lucidity. I love the latter of the two though. Thanks for sharing this. I saw WASP a couple years ago. Remember them? hahahaha I actually went up and talked to Blackie. After being a fan since I was 12, I felt like an idiot when I couldn't find the words. LOL

  2. atman says yeah, I remember WASP! I just added a bunch of them to my library! They're another blast from the past that I'll probably post about some time soon. Thing about this video... I'm doing the exact same thing I did as a teenager. Listening to it over and over.

  4. Iren says Queensryche was one of the 3 bands that I discovered my senior year of high school that started me on the road to Rockfiendom.... I guess you could say they were a gateway band... as much as I like Empire and Promised Land, I think that The Warning and Rage for Order contain their best work... outside of Operation:Mindcrime, but that's in class all it's own. I got to see them live way back when, mid 90's sometime and they put on a great show..

  5. atman says THE WARNING!!! I'm sure you're talking about a band, but Queensryche had an album called The Warning! I'm searching for that as I type this. Looking to add more Queensryche to my collection.
