   sedagive says Yeah, they're one of those really unfairly overlooked bands. I think they have cultivated a trashy image that's more goofy-trashy than cool-trashy, and a lot of people don't get it. But Dave Wyndorf is actually a great songwriter, and the band is solid. I'll tell you one thing, the strippers love these guys (would that be cool trashy or goofy trashy?). Don't ask me how I know, but it's true.

   mickimicki says I'm totally with you and sedaRight. Monster Magnet are a great band with great songs and a mindblowing trademark sound, period. (And have always been kinda popular in the "right circles", over here in Germany. Because they ROCK!)

   Augusts1 says Magnet really rocks. I've heard their stuff through the years but I guess their trashy style hasn't quite suited me. Like Kid Rock, who I've liked his songs I've heard but couldn't get into his trashy style enough to buy his cds. I tend to like great songwriting that is a little more cerebral but whatever, it's all good. Another group that doesn't get the attention they deserve is the Scottish metal band Therapy? which I'm sure you guys are aware of, cause they kick some serious ass! But their music, although rockin' has more thought provoking lyrics & I think that's why they are misunderstood & not as popular here in the states. Their new cd hasn't even been released here in the U.S. If you don't know about them here's the link to their wiki info.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Therapy%3F . I you haven't heard their music I'd highly recommend them.
