I totally love this song. It's a major classic. Don't have it anywhere in my library. Heard it on the way home from the bar. Kept repeating over and over in my head "argent - hold your head up, argent - hold your head up, look it up on youtube"

RobP says Yeah, don't know what else Argent did, this one was a hit. Rod Argent from the Zombies - now that was a great band, potentially but rarely on the whiny Brit psychedelic pop side, cuz I can't actually think of one of those pretty ones I didn't like. Odyssey & Oracle is a great album, Butcher's Tale a personal favorite, but one of those rare bands where the hits (Time of the Season, She's Not There) were as good as if not better than those lesser known tracks that us obscurist fans are always raving about.

ivylander says Decoding the first answer: Rod Argent was the keyboard player for the Zombies, who were responsible for Odessey and Oracle (was that how they misspelled it?). He went on to form Argent. If you like "Hold Your Head Up," which was on the second or third album, it's worth tracking down their first, called simply "Argent." I haven't heard it in yonks, but couldn't stop playing it back in the day.
