Another of the bands said to take after the Velvets because of their affinity for the intense droning jam, The Clean does it better than most partly because they've kept at it longer than most, having released their first single in 1981. They also have a winning sense of humor. The band is a three-piece; all three write, all three sing, making for a nice balance of variety/cohesion. What can I tell you?
