if i were an a&r dude or had enuff bread to have my own little vanity label, sleeping states would be the first thing i would unleash on the world. almost completely non-existant in the states and relatively unknown in their own united kingdom, this one man band is just begging to be discovered...except markland, the one man, is far too rad to stoop so low. i, however, ain't too proud, and make no secret that i am entirely in luv with his songs. i also make no secret of the fact that markland is one of my best frenz, and i, one of his (he's wearing a panty lions shirt in this video). all that aside, try telling me this stuff isn't beautiful. there's a real subtle humor there that just gets me and the tongue thing cracks my stuff up and i am very much into the "invite some folks over, drink some beer and make a video" asthetic. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
