oh mog, where did we go wrong? i haven't been on in ages and doubt i'll be back anytime soon. i guess i just found that i had better luck finding new music elsewhere. just to test my theory, i poked in to see what folks were saying about cass mccombs, but there were no posts to be found. somebody put "that's that" on a mix for me, and tho i had heard the track before, i was still caught off-guard by it's wonderfulness. i then put it on a mix for a friend and it was the one track (out of 18) that stood out to them, as well. while everyone else is buzzing about vampire weekend (or not! again no posts on mog! wha?!?) feel free to toss this track back at them. by the way, i think vampire weekend are pretty rad. i am no music snob, but i'm afraid i may be too hot for mog. enjoy your radiohead kids! i guess that's that. xoxo.
old friends may remember this post from way the heck back. well, turns out the fine folks at misra beat me to the punch and released sleeping states' debut album, "there the open spaces" this week. i kind of one-upped them, i s'pose, by joining the band. we are heading out on an old fashioned rock and roll tour this week and i thought i'd post some dates in case any of y'all want to come and have your brains blown all to shreds.

For that TBA on the way to TX, may I suggest "Bottletree": http://www.thebottletree.com/ in Birmingham? I know it's not really on the way, but Brian Teasley from Man Or Astroman? co-owns. A really nice spot. Even if not playing, they have great food and an even better vibe.

Meanwhile, we're covering Times New Viking, Mt Goats, the new nada surf which happens to be real good, and lots , lots more.
There are many, many moggers posting about cool artists. The fact that no one posted about cass mccombs is a drag but I don't think it means that you should give up on MOG .
We need your excellent taste in music to be part of the mix.
