Mixing jazz, indie rock, electronics, and vocal samples, FCS North (the FCS is pronounced "focus") features former Satisfact members Josh Warren (bass) and Chad States (keyboards), plus ex-United Schach Corp. drummer Andy Sells. After building a cult following in the Pacific Northwest, the group signed to Southern Records and issued their eponymous debut album in late 2000.
