Ifihadahifi

Palindrome-obsessed indie rockers IfIHadAHiFi got together in northern Wisconsin, and developed a sound that fused squalling noise rock with dance beats and cheap electronics. Original members Dr. Awkward (drums), Mr. Alarm (bass), and Yale Delay (synth, guitar) first played together in a local band called the Pop Machine, which disbanded in late 1999. Forming a new group, they began playing shows around the area, and recorded a demo (full title: We Will Not Be Responsible for Any Damage to Plastic Bowling Balls. This Includes Scratches, Nicks, Gouges, Etc. Use at Your Own Risk) that found its way to /mp3.com. They subsequently added a second synth player, Noise Lesion, and recorded their first official full-length album, Ones and Zeroes, which was released by No Karma in late 2001. Before the group began its supporting tour, Noise Lesion departed and was replaced by guitarist/synth player Reno Loner.
