Not to be confused with the young French singer of the same name, Lina is an operatic-sounding neo-soul singer from Texas, who fuses contemporary R&B with the style (and samples) of classic swing and vocal jazz. Titled after her cover of the Dinah Washington number, Lina's ambitious debut album Stranger on Earth was released in 2001, producing the distinctive hit single "Playa No More."
