La Renga
Latin rock band from Argentina La Renga performed live for the first time in 1988, debuting with an independent album titled Esquivando Charcos in 1991. A Dónde Me Llevan la Vida followed in 1993. A year later, La Renga was able to sell out ~Obras Sanitarias, Buenos Aires' major venue, while their music started to be distributed by Polygram. 1995's Bailando en Una Pata featured "Nacido Para Ser Salvaje," a successful Spanish-language cover of Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild." Ricardo Mollo produced 1996's Despedazado Por Mil Partes. After issuing a self-titled record and La Esquina del Infinito, a live album called Insoportablemente Vivo was released in 2001.
