There was so much on the web - the podcasts and the mp3 blogs - about the passing of Alice Coltrane, that I felt it best to wait.For me, the irony of her death is that I always wanted her rendition of "Going Home" to be played at my funeral. "Going Home" is the final track on Lord of Lords, first released on vinyl in 1973 by Impulse!.
The album is only available on CD in Japan (released in 2005). There is a lot of good music on it if you can find it.As Alice, describes "Going Home" in the original liner notes:
