i am about to pull an all-nighter...

but first i need to tell you what i am listening to and what you SHOULD be listening to...his actual name is sam amidon. he's from vermont.sam singing this beautiful song..."and i think of pretty saro wherever i go..."also on my playlist for the night:noah and the whale - five years timesomeone still loves you boris yeltsin - modern mystery (off the forthcoming 'perishing'!)the ruby suns - tane mahutacloud cult - everybody here is a cloud (off the forthcoming 'feel good ghosts (teapartying through tornadoes' set for release april 8th)switchfoot - only hopesigur ros - most everything i havei've heard that sigur ros is better for you than a REM cycle...true or false?and here's a little something else that definitely should keep me awake...this is ridiculous...good night, friends. or good morning? does the day really end or begin if you don't go to sleep?

SA: quite the mood i was in at the time. and still am, since i've now been awake for 36 hours. it was on repeat this afternoon. i couldn't take anything louder. or harder. sam: i was wondering when you were going to get on that. green tea...i usually don't do any caffiene...but maybe i should try that. ohm: i'm glad you like it. my thoughts are quite similar.

And ardyjormkiv it was nice to see you listed in the 'MOGs that Trust Me' ... so Thank You for That ... and with your permission, I would like to add you as the First MOG that I trust ... if I might ? Just now, I'm a little confused by the technical aspects of working and sharing on this site ... I don't quite understand why MOG posts are not tagged with a time stamp, or classified by genre ... my computing skills are pretty minimal to begin with ... so my learning curve is going to be a bit steep. I probably won't be able to offer much in terms of newer music as I absolutely loathe most radio programming ... gave up on it years ago really. So lately I have been mostly listening to streaming World Music feeds and trying to understand Mideastern Musical forms ... another confusion actually. That and sampling obsure Music on YouTube. I'll need to stumble around for a bit it seems until I figure out the technical aspects ... and community ettiqutte. As a result of looking at some of your posts though I've been looking into the Icelandic connections of some of these folks ... (I've been a longtime fan of Bjork) ... and I love the sensitivity and timeless aspects they bring to the muscal pallette ... the sense of fire, glacial ice, and landscape. I read that Sam Amidons first album is a series of fiddle tunes ? That he is a Vermonter that has a family musical legacy with connections to Appalachia? Anyway I'll need to pick up this latest release as it really does speak to me, so thanks for turning us onto this.
