i don't really know where to start.
- On the show circuit - Rock Plaza Central: I finally got to see this Canadian five-piece live at the Sunset Tavern. Their new album, "At the Moment of Our Most Needing", did not disappoint as a follow-up to "Are We Not Horses?" - and hearing it alive was something else all together. All five band members contributed tight harmonies and the instrument switch-ups - trombone, trumpet, violin, banjo, etc. - assured for an interesting set. If you haven't taken the time to listen to these guys, lend them an ear.
- On the local scene (where I have been lately) - Noah Gunderson, Sea Fever, Friends and Family, The Barefoot Contingent: I have been enjoying many shows (for free) by volunteering at a local cafe (Q Cafe - also a great non-profit cafe if you are in the Seattle area!) and plenty of great acts have come through. Fact - you will be hearing these names again in the future.
- On the go: I was treated to some tunes by a (second?) cousin of mine from Sweden who, apparently, plays in five different bands. He is extremely talented (as noted when he played a lovely Swedish lullaby at Q Cafe's open mic) and I hope to see him booking shows out here someday. Listen to three of his bands -

- On the arrowplane - Korea: If I am mogging at all next year, I will mogging at you from the other side; South Korea, that is! I accepted an English teaching position overseas and will be there for the next year starting in September.
- On repeat - The Lonely Forest (who else??): Even though they just came out with a new album (We Sing the Body Electric, if you haven't heard already!), I can't wait for the next. Here's a taste (as played at EMP on May 24th!)
