WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

the holiday

...it is my firm belief that a movie cannot be truly good unless it has a good soundtrack or score. conversely, or similarly?, i find that my favorite movie picks are greatly influenced by my taste for the music used in the movie. it can truly make or break a film.the holiday, a heavily chick-flickified masterpiece of the season, has such a score, by hans zimmer. to all the guys out there, you might not like the movie, but how could you dislike this song?the entire score is basically centered around the same melody, worked into different styles, tempos, and keys. it might be slightly repetitive, but it really works.on the lookout for more holiday music favorites, always...let me know if you find a holiday music library necessity.

  1. deadmandeadman says I agree, to a degree. A good soundtrack can so enhance a movie's effect. Hell, a _real good_ soundtrack can _save_ a movie! But not all movies need a soundtrack.

  2. Marigold says I am not a super big movie watcher person. But this is a pretty good track. I have never heard of the holiday. Would my wife like it? Would it make a good gift? I am pissed that mog notifs are still not working properly. I found this post surfing around on accident.

  4. ardyjormkiv says deadman: hmm. interesting. i can't say i've ever seen a movie without a soundtrack. marigold: i think, at least as of lately, i've only been into movies for the music. ha. and if your wife is into seasonal love stories with good music, then it could very well make a good gift. truthfully, i wasn't expecting to like the movie (from what i saw in the preview) but was very surprised. sam: you probably wouldn't like the movie anyway, but i thought the music was for sure worth listening to.
