If it's possible, I think I love this band even more now

I have probably said way too much about Electric President already but I went to go see them at Bottom of the Hill last Saturday and wow, I really do think it made me love them more. They didn't have a particularly awesome live show. There wasn't a lot of raw energy or anything like that. What made it so great was singing along with the words and seeing the words being said right in front of you. (Also, please excuse me for a moment while I be a girl and say that Alex Kane is oh so hot.)Their cd is a collection of songs about various futures, told from the first person point of view. I can't get over the stories. "Some Crap About The Future" is about people who decide to leave and find a better place to live but then in the end they wind up collapsing "on an old dirt road where the sun doesn't look like such a waste." Then they fall asleep, and they "never wake again." Then in "Metal Fingers" they proclaim that the "traintracks look like stitches, like they're holding the world together." It's very thoughtful and observant music. They've got the stories, they've got the great word combinations, everything I absolutely love.I think this might be the band I answer with when people ask me my favorite.
