WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
Funny, I first heard of I Am Kloot when we were in Scotland last summer. We were coming back from the highlands, and we stopped in this little place to eat. There was music playing in the background and I heard what I thought was Robyn Hitchcock. WRONG...turned out it was I Am Kloot, confirmed by the American waiftress working behind the counter.
Is it my imagination or do they (he) sound like Robyn Hitchcock (specifically Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians)?
I am also listening to their Natural History album, but they don't sound like him...not so much.
Kinda he does sound like Hitchcock. Great song! Heard of these guys but not heard a song by them. Liking this alot.
What strikes is that they play "I Am Kloot" in the Highlands... Wonders never cease.
yep, I hear the Hitchcock ... interesting, though, he does sound totally different on Natural History (which is an album I really like). I'll need to acquaint myself with _Gods and Monsters_ now ... thanks Annie
GMO - Enjoy, I really like it.
B - The highlands can be a progressive place, at least the place we stopped, was...It had that Scandinavian / Ikea feel to it (very out of place). There are A LOT of English and southern Scots up there.
A - Good to hear...
there's a bit of Robyn in that voice...
I had never heard I Am Kloot before... I keep hearing their name, but never heard the actual music... Thanks for the taste... It was great and I'll be seeking out more!
Cheers!
