Hey, I bought this CD based on this song. Wasn't much else there as I recall, and I don't know where it got to, but what a good-time feel! I like this song too....I just do (too)!
Annie, I've always liked this song. It's just, as was said before, damn catchy. Here's a question for all the MOGgers paying attention (and one I don't remember the answer to, so I'm hoping someone does) the main riff of this song is a sample, lifted out of some 70's disco track. Does anyone remember what it is? I think it's "How Do You Like It?" or whatever, which runs in my head was done by some woman involved with the porn industry at the time. Ring a bell with anyone?
And Annie, I'm bowled over by the bi-weekly posting!
August--here's a sign of my ever-lasting square-peg-in-a-round-world attitude: I didn't even think of looking it up online. But you did, and I thank you for that! Now, I can sleep without that question running through my head!
When in doubt of the meaning of something, assume it's about man's inhumanity to man. It's the go-to motif. Oh, also, you can assume there's a Christ figure in there somewhere. Works for everything. Except for maybe this.
"I was lying on the grass...indulging in my self-defeat" - the second I heard that out of the radio I was hooked. Plus they make great use of the sample. A perfect LA type song, the twin to Van Bran 3000.

I admit that I don't know what it means though..........
I don't know....It won't play....but I'm sure its me...everyone else has stopped complaining.
Look at me Groon, more then one post in a week......WHOOT!
great job Annie, this one is a solid favorite..!
I can't get past the video. The brother/sister team are just a little TOO touchy feely together(and not in a good way) it colors the song for me.
Mistee - Maybe I like it because I haven't seen the video....
INdy - Good to hear...
Man, this songs great with lots of bass. I know I heard it somewhere before. Is it on a soundtrack?

Groon, I'm paying attention! It was Andrea True Connection's 'More, more, more' from '76. Looked it up online on wiki here:

Oh, all right ... it's a cute catchy little summer ditty. It won't change the world, but it's fun for a bit.
::overcompensates by switching to goth for the night's listening::

I don't, I'm afraid. But I do like the Van Bran 3000 one :)
Well good morning mog.....
Whoa, I shouldn't have gone to dinner...glad you all enjoyed ('cept you Anna, let's see if I can't find something more up your alley).
