Another Isabelle story, told about my husband, age six, and his younger sisters ages 4 and 2. He didn't have a dad growing up, in fact was the only kid in his primary school to have divorced parents. Eventhough his dad left his family, Belle still moved heaven and earth to make sure that his parents, Papa and Nanna, saw their grandchildren...even if that meant travelling hours by bus to a small town.

What's remarkable about this story is the way it's told without a hint of self-congratulation.
it worked this morning, and once again I loved it. This reminds me of a "song" by Looper. It is called Imposible Things #2 and everytime I hear these posts I think of that song.
Aug - Thanks. And there are some pretty horrific stories that I hope to get about Stew not having a dad growing up...times were VERY hard. I would like to capture those too.
Kev - You exposed me to Looper with a post about IT#2...a long time ago...Thanks for the feedback about these posts, too. I get worried because it's not about music, this being a music site and all. Lately, I have been thinking if mog is still the place for me to be. I don't think I fit into the larger scheme of what David Hyman has in mind for this site. We'll see.
Ivy - She has a lot to be pleased about...she raised those 3 kids on her own without help from the father. And she aways did the right thing. She's a good woman.

and for the record, this has everything to do with music. I see songs as a way to tell a story, and the way you have put music to dialogue is great.
Annie ... this is great for Mog ... in fact I think these kind of posts are what help distinguish Mog from other sites .... just my opinion anyways.
However... there are probably other sites that have a more specialized focus which you could share your stuff and get feedback from people interested in the same type of production. If you find something, let me know.

I don't have to travel far for those stories...Stew will tell them to me...and you will be amazed at how a father could ever treat a son in that way. Full disclosure, Stew's father doesn't like me either.
Ah, I see. I'm sorry to hear that about his father, that really sucks. He doesn't sound like a very happy person at all.
