well just a wee bit Postal Service-y at least.
I should qualify, I'm wanting to post the rarer Postal Service tracks.
The other day I posted about the compliation Dark Was The Night. Kevin, Rawkkidoh, mentioned the Mushaboom (remix) that The Postal Service reworked with Feist. I though I should post some of their lesser known, rare cuts, that I have compiled....some may be new to you...hopefully.
I like to listen to this while putting away the groceries...haven't figured out why yet.
This one has a Postal Service meets DCfC feel to it...especially in the bridge...
Voted Best All-time Breakup Song on This American Life...and a damn fine cover IMHO.
This is the song that started their colaboration....
Honestly, the melodies in this one makes my heart beat.
Nina Simone...anyone? anyone?
My least fav of the bunch...Still love it, don't get me wrong, their worst is better then some people's best.
ALL DONE!

Maybe I should post Mushaboom so you don't have to wonder around the MOS.
Wow
The Postal Service is seriously timeless! :)
DM - Warned you about goin' postal.
Cin - Ain't it tho. Hope you heard some new stuff with this post.
Geeeeezus! lol you weren't kiddin'. Thanks though since I do love 'em.
quite a few I have never heard and I thought i had em all. Such a great post to listen to tonight, thanks!
i knew what this post was about before you even thought it up. :)
yup. looks like you covered everything... i was going to suggest some, then i would scroll down and see you already posted them... haha should i have expected any less? i think its safe to say, when a postal service fan becomes a fan, they will search the very depths of the earth for anything remotely related. for example, when i discovered PS i bought dntel's debut, james figurine, figurine, dntel's sophmore, and mystic chords of memory (with nobody) just because of chris gunst's guest appearance on 'life is full of possibilites'... then on the other side, obviously deathcab, but also alltime quarterback, and then ben gibbards home vol 5 series (with andrew kenny) which inevitably got me to get american analog set...
gah. i think i might go postal if they dont release something soon... too bad last i heard it wasnt sounding good. off to the gun cabinet.
Yep- you weren't kidding.
Never heard of these guys, I like them, thanks
Great post. Love em, the music, the story, all of it. Even kinda makes me resent DCFC keeping these guys from putting more stuff out. Ok, not really. Thanks for "Grow Old With Me". that was a new find for me. Here's the tracks from an in studio session of theirs on KCRW. I heard this live and the chopped up tracks dont do the perfromace justice, the transitions were wonderful.
Aug & RX- I NEVER kid about Ben....
Kev - Sweet.
Sam - Yeah and being OCD as well as a fan insures that I have everything. I have a couple more, but they are remixes of some of the above stuff.
Earthman - Really, never heard of 'em before. You have to listen to more...more...more...
Random - I have those too...and the radio mess up of Brand New Colony. Confession, at one time I had a version where they left the mics on while they were packing up from this show...talking about being hungry and getting lunch. I felt like a fly on the wall to listen.
I particularly love Little Girl Blue. Thanks for the posts.
Where did you get these fantastic tracks?!
dabeef - YVW
Hush - I pick them up...here and there...If I told you, I would have to kill you.
What a bonanza, annie! A sonic banquet even. Danke!
Mike - Bitte schön
