160 Gigs and smaller than a paperback book!

As I've told millions of people, I'm going on the road in a couple weeks, taking my vintage punk rock photos on tour on a themed show called Unguarded Moments: Backstage and Beyond.

I have TONS of music on my computer, and in the last few weeks, preparing digital files so I could generate BIG PRINTS fast, I've loaded up my computer with giant image files.

My poor donkey of a laptop was moving like a tortoise. So yesterday, I picked up a small portable external hard drive and started by moving all my music files on to it. Apparently, they took up 52% of my laptop's available hard drive... YIKES. Anyway... I think my Mog Data is going to be all kooky and off - since I'm having iTunes fetch those files from that drive... I have no idea what the Mog O Matic is reading, although I just now added that external folder and the activity monitor is telling me it can't identify many tracks. Well, that's a lot of work I gotta do... but at least I've got Jack Oblivian, Compulsive Gamblers and Oblivians playlists working. That's all I need right now....

White and Nerdy says Digital files? That kind of talk breaks my heart...but I succumb to digital as well sometimes. I'm currently scanning a ton of negatives from the rocknrollbÃ¥ten adventure so I can post the reportage up on my website. I looked at the blogspot and saw the possible dates - I hope the tour makes it Lansing, MI. Let me know if you need any info on places and/or things in Michigan.

anna log says i scan my negatives --- because there are NO DARKROOMS i can rent by the hour in LA. seriously. there' s one but its dirty and i can' t make anything bigger than 11 x 14 there and they nickel and dime you for everything! like drying time! they SUCK. in nyc, darkroom rentals are still competitive and i can make 16 x 20 prints there - maybe 20 perfect prints a day. i have no other choice. i'm a kodak endorsee so that's how i am taking advantage of the endorsement, in addition to the film.... i AM coming to Lansing in the SPRING! its all set up. an excellent "local" band is going to play and everything.

White and Nerdy says I feel your pain on the darkroom end of things, I have not been able to find anything around southeast Michigan to rent. Nothing. And being limited to 11"X14" is, well, limiting. One thing I miss about living in Minneapolis is this place: http://www.ifp.org/ It was a great public darkroom. Too bad there isn't one in LA...and in Detroit (for me). Glad to hear that Lansing is already set up. I thought it was just pending. I'll be there!
