WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Another Little Amelia Ditty "Here We Are"

Posted about 1 year ago

Ah, bass clarinet. This is the last track on the new album and it's one that we think sums up the CD and maybe life of the human race in general. Too much? Maybe.
Discuss.

HERE WE ARE

All I see is what's in front of me
No more, no less
That, and everything eventually
Most all, I'd guess

Stand in the way I see
You and your penny I.D.
All would be cause for alarm
If not for all the lovely people here
And the others who have come to stand and leer
It's better than it could be, I suppose
He we are.

For some odd reason, the Japanese movie, "After Life" came to mind as I watched the video play. (Plot: the staff at a not-quite-Limbo/Purgatory waystation between Life and The hereafter encourage new arrivals to choose one scene out of their lives to experience...forever. The catch? There's a one week time limit, and for those who don't choose...well, that would be spoiling the movie, wouldn't it?)

I just watched that movie, wahiawa! I definitely see how the song reminded you of it.

I really enjoyed this sweet little song :)
