I've always been a huge fan of Morrissey's lyrics but (and I'm ducking and covering my head with my arms here) I just don't like Morrissey's vocalization. Some of my favorite covers are of Morrissey's songs and I recently bought Colin Meloy sings Morrissey, a 6 song CD. For those of you who don't know, Colin Meloy is the lead singer for The Decemberists, one of the best (in my opinion) bands to come out of the Pacific Northwest in 10 years. The songs and Colin's voice are perfectly matched and I cannot stop listening to these 6 tunes. If you're interested, you should give them a listen and see if they don't invade your every waking moment like they have mine. And don't even ask about my dreams.....
