Well, we aren't really that tight, but I did get to hang around them just a smidge at Bumbershoot.
I was shooting for icecreamman.com and Matt & Kim stuck by the group for a while. I got to see Matt dunk a Roller Derby girl,
pose for pictures with REALLY excited fans,
and enjoy (not so much, really) a tamarind, lime and chili frozen "treat"
But I had to admit to Matt that while I'd heard of them, I hadn't listened to their music. Oh, the shame of it all...
Well, I made the situation right and guess what? I honestly like their music! Making me think of what would happen if techno and punk get together and create a little pop, the tunes are energetic and infectious. Put that together with the nicest two people I've ever seen eat tamarind/lime/chili ice cream and dunk roller girls and I'm a fan for life.
Plus, Kim had the keenest pair of red and black Converse ever.
I lusted after them for a while, searched the internet for a pair for an evening and finally gave up. But did you know that Converse.com will custom make shoes for you? Guess what came in the mail today...

Which came first - the music or the rockstar shoe fetish? :-p
Dunk a Roller Girl?? Glastonbury can't boast that!
Jonh...I think both were in my blood at birth. :-S
with shoes like that, you'll have to be a rockstar too.
ardy - She's already a rockstar in my book. PERIOD!
Matt and Kim...just sounds so darn friendly! Awesum shoez!!
have you looked for help regarding your shoe fetish?
shoes do make the rock star, IMO. I keep trying to have better and better shoes, but still no gig. ;)
I look for help every time I go shopping for more shoes...is that what you mean?
HA! That is exactly what I mean
I'd heard of 'em too but not their choons. Liking the songs here. Awesome shoes too.
