Something is wrong here...maybe I don't know how to drive a MOG anymore?

I have been gone for quite some time; this I am aware of. And I'm back for a variety of reasons but primarily because I wasn't discovering new music like I had been back in the glory days of MOG. I used to have a new music love every week or so and I missed that. However, I haven't been completely under a rock and there have been some blips on my musical radar in the past year.
So....today I was browsing through my photos from this year's Lollapalooza and when I saw the shots I took from a particular set I wondered what the MOG-o-sphere had said about this particular band, since I had fallen head over Converse for them in 2009. I put the band name in that little search bar in the upper right corner right the F there and there was no result for my search. HUNH?
And I decided that 1. Nobody has mogged about them or 2. I don't know how to search for a band anymore. Number 2 has got to be the answer because EVERYONE HAS TO KNOW ABOUT BAND OF SKULLS. RIGHT?????
I'd heard of the band from various members of my Internet Music Nerd Friends and finally gave into the best form of peer pressure ever and downloaded their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey (which has to be the best title ever) around May or June of this year. Instantly hooked by their sultry, sexy, bluesy tunes, I had the UK trio on constant repeat, several of their songs making their way onto various mixes I made at the time. Now, months later, I am still thoroughly enjoying the album and am waiting anxiously for a sophomore effort.
When I saw they were playing Lollapalooza Saturday, they became my #1 Must See for the festival. NOTHING was going to keep me from catching their set, even though it was slated for the worst possible hour--before noon, second day of the fest, after staying out late the night before.
Although a dark, intimate bar venue would have been better than the blistering sunlit stage, Band of Skulls completely wow'd us all. They were incredible, performing their songs with everything they had, making the noon hour sexy with the driving beats and heartfelt lyrics. The performance of Impossible especially was wrought with emotion when lead singer, Russell Marsden, repeated the words "I am a man, I am a man, I am a man...'cause you said I am", striking his chest for emphasis. Sigh...
Confession: those of you who know me, know I have a certain...er...fondness for bass players. And BoS bassist, Emma Richardson, quickly became my new girl crush. She was tall and strong and talented and had great boots. How could I resist? Why would I want to?
Soooo...hopefully you've all been digging on Band of Skulls since long before I started...but just in case you haven't, I'll consider this my good deed of the day. You can thank me later. :)

"Confession: those of you who know me, know I have a certain...er...fondness for bass players."
Not to put to fine a point on it, Barni.
Ha!
bass does keep the band together, just wish they showered more
Wow. There really are no MOG posts on them. That's bat-guano crazy.
Annie: :P
Kevin: maybe I like 'em dirty?
Dale! Right? that is NUTS! (woo hoo, I'm the first...la la la de da!)
(Dale said bat-guano!)
dirty can be good except when you sleep in your bed the night afterwards. It is never a good thing when you sheets smell like rotten tacos
hmmm...point well taken. it will have to be their place, then. :)
Creative and accurate expletives FTW! :P
i've seen a similar issue mentioned on MOG before and the response was something like - MOG uses someone else's database and has no control over the info it contains...
i too miss the old style, where an artist page was created automagically as soon as 3 or more posts were tagged with any band's name...
So... I think we need to hear them, right? Got any tunes for us?
Feelthy Skulls! To quote a Pimp: RAWK!!!
Boot pic! My day is complete.
That's a bit odd, I'm thinking the artist's page exists but there is a bug that's causing it to hide....hmmm!
Give us a taste then www.littlemp3.com ;)
Oh, the wonders of technology...
Light of the Morning

Blood
I think MOG's "other" database needs some tweeking if they don't have any Band of Skulls...of course that would be my opinion. :)
If they are feelthy then it is true, I DO like 'em dirty! RAWK indeed.
Jonh...I couldn't let you down. sigh...I just love boots.
And thanks to Anna (what an awesome link, my dear) we now have music. And since this is a music website, that's a really good thing. !!!!!
You're welcome! Out of all the uploading thingies this is the only one I could master, and it's my favourite.
Now, to this band of yours.... DAMN THAT IS SO SEXY AND ADDICTIVEEEEEEEE! Like Kills and White Stripes in one, but definitely with their own identity and character.
I'll have to buy their album now, I hope you're happy, EMCD!
thanks for this. am liking Blood the best. As far as I am concerned the only thing that works on MOG is posting/commenting.
Played the noise that you're shouting about on the mp3 player - that is a handsome racket indeed. No wonder you're singing their praises. I'm another one who'll be buying the album.
Anna...funny thing: I saw The Dead Weather a month or so again (hmmm...I feel another post brewing) and my immediate thought was Band of Skulls would be the PERFECT opener. The music definitely compliments Jack White and/or The Kills. Super glad you liked it! (she called me EMCD!)
cpeter-Blood is one of my favorite of theirs at the moment. My favorite runs a "Fave of the Week" as I dig into the album repeatedly. You should try it.
Jonh: Great noise and boots. Not even worth the attempt at resistance, right?
Achh! Resistance is futile - I'll tell you everything you want to know.
