Seriously. Is there a quota? Because I have a new one: Ghostland Observatory.
I caught this power duo from Austin at Lollapalooza on the recommendation of "Librarianguish":http://mog.com/Librarianguish as did "zeroskilz":http://mog.com/Zeroskilz, who flew this weekend to Seattle to catch GLO at a sold out show. Librarianguish joined us as well as my good buddy Jaye.
First off: the show was amazing. The physical performance of the lead singer Aaron Behrens is entralling. The man just reeks of sexuality and has the vox to back it up. Absolutely luscious. After the show, we hightailed it over to the Crocodile Cafe for a fine example of redneck rock with the Black Lips. We stayed there for just a short time, because Jaye got kicked out...AGAIN (and she looks so mild mannered) and we decided to go to an all night diner for some alcohol absorption.Sitting there, waiting for eggs Jaye suddenly belts out "hello! Mr....Ghostland!" Yep, there's the band and to make a long story a tiny bit shorter, we got our tickets autographed, I bought their breakfast and we ended up on the band guest list for the sold out show the next night at the Croc. RIGHT ON!So Saturday's show was at a smaller bar/club. There was no laser show but the performance...._OMG_!!!! There were the amazing moves made by Aaron and the techno-meister, Thomas Turner played the tunes.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. And I was up front and central, and so got such a shot at the boots...
