   Jonh Ingham says What an amazing song. Is this 'rare' or 'unreleased'? Hard to believe it wasn't /isnt a major part of her repetoire.

   almax says Jonh To my shame, I'm only really familiar with the standard Aretha greatest hits and I don't know enough about her entire recorded work to comment with authority on whether this is a genuine rarity, or simply an out-take of a standard release - but this track comes from a quite stupendous double CD called "Rare and Unreleased Recordings from the Golden Reign of the Queen of Soul" - every single track is heart-stopping. Can an expert on Aretha please enlighten us further?

   Jonh Ingham says I checked the track listing and it says 'Outake'. So at least a different version from anything that might have been released.
