...and certain songs they get scratched into our souls.....And I haven't been moved and drawn in by a band like I am by the Hold Steady since I heard the Clash when I was 10. I read a piece on them in Spin magazine that said their audience was, how do you say it....um, OLD. It left me with mixed emotions I was glad there were others out there that could relate to music the same way I did, but I also thought that hey maybe I really have joined a differnent generation.

Tell me if you've been moved by a band. Tell me if you think it belongs to a specific genration and why.

In any event.....share......the music and the lyrics will leave us all the wiser.

I think most music is pretty much timeless. It appeals to all types, all ages, genders, hair colours, whatever. Just when you think that 70 year olds wouldn't like Justin Timberlake or five year olds can't dig Led Zeppelin, you find somebody who proves you wrong. Stereotypes and generalizations may be handy for the media to hype about, but I don't think they exist in the real world.
