This two-CD set combines two vinyls previously issued by Lovely Music. Disc I contains four of the Songs of Milarepa: "Mila's Song in the Rain," "Song of the Path Guides," "Elimination of Desires," and "Symbols for Yogic Experience." Deeply meditative, compassionate and inspiring, these settings for voices and electronics from the Buddhist classic The 100,000 Songs of Milarepa were realized in 1981-83 in Paris. Disc 2 contains the complete 63-minute "Mila's Journey Inspired by a Dream," both discs with Tibetan singing by Lama Kunga Rinpoche and English singing by Robert Ashley. Radique's electronic music is rich in harmonics and slowly changing harmonies with a real sense of the eternal that moves the depths of the soul.
