Universal Latino's Best of Cuba is a small but enjoyable collection of some of the country's best-known performers and songs, including Miguelito Cuni's "Prefiero el Son," Peruchi & Richard Egues' "Bilongo," Orq. Melodias del 40's "Seis Lindas Cubanas," and Estrellas de Cuba's "Baila Mi Gente." Arsenio Rodriguez, Arcano, and Cachao are some of the other vintage Cuban performers represented here. While the sound quality on these '40s-'60s recordings is sometimes a little lacking, overall this is a rewarding look at some of Cuba's musical innovators.
