AMG Review of 2007 Año de Éxitos Reggaeton

The new millennium was when reggaeton really began to become popular outside of its native Puerto Rico, and artists like Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, Trébol Clan, and Rakim & Ken-Y began to have hits around North America. All of the aforementioned stars, plus ones like Don Omar, Los Gargolas, DJ Joe, and Tony Touch are included on Universal Latino's year-end compilation 2007 Año de Éxitos Reggaeton, which makes the album a pretty good sampler of reggaeton in 2006 (with the exception of the song "La Locura Automática" by La Secta Allstar, a group that seems to show up on many of the albums in the series regardless of deserving it, and a song that not even an appearance by Eddie Dee can save).
