Released shortly after Chris LeDoux returned to recording following an extended rodeo absence, Gold Buckle Dreams collects highlights from his '70s and '80s recordings. It's not a comprehensive collection, but among the 12 songs are several of his finest -- including "So You Want to Be a Cowboy," "A Cowboy's Got to Ride," "Born to Follow Rodeo," "Bareback Jack," "National Finals Rodeo" and "Photo Finish" -- which makes Gold Buckle Dreams worth its price for casual fans.
