Beenie Man's first international album Blessed proves that why the young reggae star is one of the most popular ambassadors of dancehall in the world. Featuring hit singles like "World Dance" and "Blessed," the album is an infectious, danceable collection that never makes any deep lyrical statements -- even though Beenie Man does make a couple of stabs at philosophical and political insights on a couple of songs -- but is carried by a set of deep bass grooves and Beenie Man's dynamic charisma.
