AMG Review of Walking in L.A.: The Dance Mixes

"Greatest hits remixed"-type discs tend to be of no consequence whatsoever, but in the case of Missing Persons' Walking in L.A.: The Dance Mixes, there are a few tracks that might actually hold the interest of some fans. Released by Hypnotic, the compilation does have several clunkers, yet some notable remixes come from Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes (who is assisted by Warren Cuccurullo), Bauhas' Kevin Haskins, and the Mission UK's Wayne Hussey. The weirdest inclusion is a burbling-percolating remix of "Walking in L.A." that features Cypress Hill's Sen Dog, and you can tell the MC spent a lot of time working on his guest verse: "Nobody walks in L.A. 'cause you might get sprayed."
