The three-disc box set Jazz Moods: An Intimate Evening is a straight-up repackaging of three previous releases in the Jazz Moods series: Dinner by Candlelight, Jazz by the Fire, and Jazz at Night's End. It's designed to take the listener through the various stages of a romantic evening at home with that special someone, and it actually doesn't do a bad job of setting those moods, while also shining the spotlight on some of the better performances of the Concord Jazz stable.
