Disneymania, Vol. 3 collects even more covers of classic Disney tunes by the studio's roster of teen pop performers and other kid-friendly artists. As with all the Disneymania comps, the quality of the performances is all over the place, ranging from highlights like Bowling for Soup's cheeky, punky take on #The Jungle Book's "Bare Necessities" to missteps like Jesse McCartney's whiny version of "When You Wish Upon a Star." The collection is pretty evenly divided between faithful and more creative renditions of Disney classics, and there's something to be said for both approaches: Skye Sweetnam has fun with her Avril Lavigne-esque cover of #The Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World," while former #American Idol contestants Clay Aiken and Kimberley Locke contribute sweetly traditional versions of #Aladdin's "Proud of Your Boy" and #Cinderella's "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes," respectively. Tracks by Aly & A.J., Raven-Symoné, LaLaine, and Jump5 round out the album. Like the volumes that came before it, Disneymania, Vol. 3 isn't perfect, but fans of Disney's current pop stars should find at least a few enjoyable moments here.
