Celebrating the work of the famed playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, The Greatest Film Songs compiles 14 of the most famous pieces she contributed to Indian cinema, including "Hawa Mein Urdta Jaaye Mora Lal" from #Barsaat, "Neeli Aasman So Gaya" from #Silsila and "Nagari Nagari Dware Dware Dhoondoon Re Sanwariya" from #Mother India. The compilation definitely works better as an introduction to the artist's repertoire (as certainly any more dedicated follower would already have all of this material), but it covers her well, and shows off her voice, and makes the album worthwhile for basic purposes.
