Burlap to Cashmere is one of the most innovative bands in CCM, with poetic lyrics and strong musical compositions. Their folky, acoustic guitar-infused sound is both hypnotic and thought-provoking. Live at the Bitter End includes the poignant "Eileen's Song" and "Basic Instructions," (th latter their passionate treatise on salvation). Burlap to Cashmere's velvet sound is alternative CCM as it should be.
