Part of GRP's Chess/Cadet/Argo reissue series, this compiles all but a single cut from Art and Perception, the one cut being left out at the discretion of producer Orrin Keepnews (who gives no reason for the exclusion, or the resequencing of the tracks.) All in all, the album is a wonderful-sounding slice of jazz, though somewhat on the light side. These cuts, by the way, mark Farmer's transition from trumpet to flugelhorn.
